III SYMPOSIUM OF IMMUNOLOGY - INNATE IMMUNITY was held on May 12 and 13, 2006 at the School of Agronomical Sciences, UNESP, Botucatu, São Paulo State, Brazil. It was organized by Professor Ramon Kaneno of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Botucatu Institute of Biosciences, UNESP, and Professor Denise Fecchio of the Department of Pathology, Botucatu School of Medicine, UNESP. Presentations consisted of 44 papers including 8 oral presentations, 9 lectures and 27 posters.
